“Bill” survived a difficult childhood after the death of his father and went on to accomplish much in his adult life. After serving his country in the Army during WWII with direct report to the Inspector General, he began his civilian life with his first wife, Lorene, who preceded him in death after 61 years of marriage, and built a life for his family through much hard work and sacrifice. He served the God of the Universe and Christ teaching others of His love and kindness, while working in the medical community for most of his career. He was a longtime member of the Church of Christ. Following the death of Lorene he found new life with his present wife who had the added distinction of being the widow of his best friend from his Army days. Together they merged two adult families and spent his last years providing him the joy he desired from their close relationship. After recent health setbacks, he declined and, as we all must, faced the inevitable trip to a new home.

Bill is survived by wife, Alma Lubbers-Richardson; son, Dave Richardson and wife Patricia; daughter, Patricia Travis.
