MANSFIELD -- William "Bill" DuBois, 79, loving husband, father, grandfather, great -grandfather and friend passed away Sunday, August 11, 2013. Service: Thursday, August 15, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Blessing Funeral Home. Visitation: 6pm-8pm Wednesday, at Blessing Funeral Home. Bill was born in Benton Harbor, Michigan, October 16th, 1933 to Lemira and Russell DuBois. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and then married his high school sweetheart Patricia Zortz. They built a loving family and raised three children. In 1957 he began a long and distinguished career as a logistics engineer, supporting the efforts of the U.S. armed forces, where he ultimately retired from his last position with Loral Corporation. Bill was an avid sportsman, and loved playing golf with his dear friends, where he was a long-time member at Walnut Creek Country Club. Bill shot his age in golf in 2012 and boasted an amazing 8 holes-in one. Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Patricia. Survivors: He is survived by their 3 children, William DuBois and wife Peggy, Denise Vaughan and husband Eric, and Shari Holloway; grandchildren: Eric Vaughan II and wife Tara, Ashleigh Scott and husband Corey, Jenni Vaughan, Stephen Kennedy, Sarah Kennedy, Amber Holloway and Will DuBois; great granddaughters, sisters Rosslyn and Bronwyn Vaughan, as well as his dear sister Judy Baker and numerous nieces and nephews.
