MANSFIELD -- W.D. Barnes, 78, of Mansfield passed away peacefully Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at home while surrounded by his children and grandchildren. Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Blessing Funeral Home in Mansfield.  Pastor Joe Carmichael of Community of Hope United Methodist Church will officiate. The last two years of his life were spent with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. W.D. was preceded in death by his parents, J.D. and Novella Barnes, and his lovely wife of 52 years, Joyce Boyd Barnes. Survivors: W.D. is survived by his children, Darlene Jennings and husband, Horace, Kenneth Barnes and wife, Lauree, and Scott Barnes; his grandchildren, Brandilyn DePalma and husband, Chris, Dallas Cooper and husband, Robert, Jordan Haith, Madison Jennings, Mattie and Kaitlyn Barnes, Ryan, Dylan, Clinton and Zoe Barnes; his great-grandchildren, Caleb and Mackenzie Cobb, Logan, Allison and Emma Cooper, and Kacy Barnes; as well as his devoted sister-in-law, Sheryn Hurley and husband, Michael, of Missouri.
