Wanda Rose Holden went home to her Heavenly Father on December 5, 2020. She was 78.
Wanda was born to Marvin Carter and Ruby Dell (Thomas) Vallance on February 6, 1942 in Memphis, Texas. She moved to southeast Ft. Worth as a child. Wanda attended Poly High School. She married her first husband June 27, 1958. They had 5 children together; Norman, Bobby, David, Teresa, and Rose.
Wanda married Brian John “Limey” Holden in 1982. They enjoyed traveling and spending time together. Bingo was something they loved doing together. In later years they enjoyed activities with their grandchildren.
Wanda was a secretary for over 30 years. Her last employer was Hallmark Printing. She enjoyed talking with customers and interacting with people in general.
Wanda’s favorite holiday was Christmas. She loved decorating for the holidays and all the presents as well as the holiday dinners. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Other special moments for Wanda were summertime camping and playing bingo. Her favorite places to eat were Waffle House and Taco Bell. She loved her Heavenly Father and worshipped at the Messiah Baptist Church in Richland Hills, Texas until her health prevented her from attending.
Wanda is preceded in death by her parents, husband Brian, her brothers Dan and M.C., as well as her son Bobby.
Wanda is survived by her children Norman Pool (wife Susan), David Pool (wife Elaine), Teresa Pool and Rose Phillips (husband Ricky), Cathy Pool (wife of Bobby), sisters Dorothy Parker, Jo Upchurch, brother John Vallance, 21 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
She was well loved and will be missed by all.
