Vicky Couch “Dundee” Hampton, beloved wife, mother, sister and friend, age 66, went to be home with the Lord on December 1, 2019 after a long illness.
Vicky Couch Hampton was born on March 9, 1953 in Bastrop, LA to Reverend Louis Elzy Couch and Rena Mae Mercer. She married Leon Hampton on September 23, 2006.
She loved nothing more than to cook for her family and friends, fishing, camping, Judge Judy, true crime, and her kids and grand kids, who affectionately nicknamed her “Dundee.”
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Louis Couch, and son Larry Don Madden, whose ashes will be interred with her.
She is survived by her loving husband Leon Hampton of Mansfield, TX, her brother Del Wayne Couch of Clinton AR; sons Michael Madden of Mansfield, TX; Lonnie Madden of Austin, TX; stepdaughter Karen Wilhite of Bastrop, LA; Randy Wooten of Bastrop, LA; grandchildren Savannah Madden, Sloan Madden, Brandon Wooten, Baylee Wilhite, Kegan Bretton, Amber Vosburg, Tricia Madden Brisco, Erin Word, Catherine Wooten; great-grandchildren Brayden Wooten, Acen & Aisley Bretton, Jensen & Rhett Wooten, and Cora & Etta Word, sisters Brenda Couch and Edna Jones, many nieces, nephews, friends, and her beloved dog Kaylee Belle.
Services for Vicky will be at 2:00 pm at Blessing Funeral Home in Mansfield on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at 401 Elm Street in Mansfield, preceded by a visitation at 12:00 pm.
