Vera Corene Scott, 78, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2013.
Vera was born in Paducah, Texas on July 19, 1935, the daughter of Claude Jeffery Yarbrough, Sr. and Leota Augusta Gladder Yarbrough. She married Billie G. Scott in Boston, Massachussetts on June 4, 1953. Vera was a retired nurse as well as a lifelong homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Billie G. Scott; Children, Debbie Messer, Tammy Scott, and Kevin Scott and wife Rose; grandchildren, Scotty Messer, Charles Scott, Jeffrey Messer, Kevin J. Scott, Kassandra Scott, Kingsley Scott, Khloee Scott and Sox Scott; sister, Esta Dunham; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
