KENNEDALE -- Tommie Bennett Lowery, a life member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers, passed away June 30, 2015.
Service: 10 a.m., Friday at Blessing Funeral Home in Mansfield. Visitation: 9 a.m., Friday at the funeral home.
Tommie was born April 19, 1921 in Fort Worth, the son of Rufus and Renee Shaw Lowery. He married Lucille Edmunds on December 24, 1946 in Weatherford.
Tommie honorably served in the United States Army.
He is survived by his loving wife of 68.5 years, Lucille Lowery; sons, Tommie L. Lowery and wife, Vickie, Eddie P. Minnis and wife, Dana, Hardee C. Minnis and wife, Sharon; daughters, Diane M. Verde and husband, John, Joyce S. McReynolds and husband, Jerry, Sallie L. Watson and husband, George; siblings, Kathryn Sikes, Jean Oliver, Viola Hinkle, Rose Smith and George Lowery; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
