Thomas “Tom” Petersen went to be with the Lord on February 4, 2014. He was born on May 27, 1957 in Anamosa, Iowa to Tug Petersen and Betty (Peck) Petersen. Tom was a loving Son, Brother, Husband, Dad, “Gramps,” Friend and Believer who lived his “Dash” well. He is preceded in death by his father, Tug Petersen, brother-in-laws, Gary Yockey, and Konrad Kail, and a nephew, Terry Yockey. Those left to celebrate his life are: his wife of 18 years, Lynda Petersen; one son, Blake Hopkins and wife Kim; one daughter, Jessica Brost and husband Matt; three grandchildren, Camy Hopkins, Layla Brost and Isabelle Brost; his mother, Betty Petersen, three sisters Judy Yockey, Jane Kail, and Nancy Collins and husband Scott; as well as two nephews Chris Yockey and wife Amy, and Adam Collins; a great nephew, Nathan Yockey; a great niece, Hannah Yockey. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, February 7, 2014 at 5 PM at The Community at Lake Ridge 1151 Mansfield Webb, Arlington, TX 76002, (855)-401-8225.
