Thomas Welch,

Thomas "Tom" Edwin Welch SR. 66, of Grand Prairie passed away Thursday, August 1, 2013 at a local hospital after suffering a massive heart attack surrounded by his family. Tom was born on July 20, 1947 in Abilene to Albert E. Welch and Willie J. (King) Welch. Tom was a loving husband, father and papa. He was a masonry contractor for 45 years. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and cherished every moment he could spend with his grandchildren. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Albert "Butch" Welch. Tom is survived by his wife of 49 years Delta of Grand Prairie; sons, Tommy Welch JR. of Weatherford, Timmy Welch of Mansfield and Jimmy Welch of Grand Prairie; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; three brothers, Bill Welch of Euless, David Welch of Grand Prairie and Joe Bob Welch of Oklahoma; two sisters, Pat Butler of Abilene and Joy Nix of Grand Prairie.
