Taylor Brooke Dawson, 28 of Fountain, Colorado, went to be with the Lord on July 29, 2022. She was born to Todd Dawson and Jana Harris on February 7, 1994 in Arlington, Texas. She graduated Mansfield High School in 2012 and later moved to Colorado but her heart always belonged to Texas.
Taylor’s story was cut far too short, but will forever be inspiring and remembered in the impactful and beautiful memories she has left behind. She had a creative spirit and her love-language was art. She would take the time for those she loved to draw or paint them pictures. Whether overtly on paper in the form of a gift, or covertly she would send for special occasions or just because - Taylor always made sure to say “I love you” with her art.
Like all of us, Taylor battled with her own demons. But what made her fierce and magical was her ability to get back up anytime she fell. The Lord used her trials and tribulations to mold her. She was constantly seeking to be a better version of herself. Her energy was magnetic and she lit up any room she walked into. Since her passing, countless messages have rolled in validating this fact. Her friends describe her as someone who positively changed the dynamic of a room just by entering it - Her family describes her as a force - a personality that was larger than life with an irreplaceable heart of gold. She was a jokester and stole the stage wherever she went - but was incredibly humble and down to earth all at the same time. Blessed with the gift of gab and ability to connect with people. She was a master at checking in with loved ones via FaceTime to stay and feel connected even at any hour of the day - and had the ability to dig deep and talk life’s depths and mysteries at the drop of a dime. Her gifts created space for people to be their authentic selves in her presence.
Taylor’s absence is unbelievably painful and this loss will be heavily carried by so many. She loved and was loved fiercely by her family, her boyfriend, Jacob Davis and the Davis family, and her dogs Bo and Colby.
Taylor was preceded in death by her grandmother, Joyce Harris. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her dad, Todd Dawson and wife Angie; mom, Jana Harris and husband Zachary Campbell; sister, Jordan Dawson; brother, Eli Dawson; grandparents, Gerald and Charlotte Dawson and Joe and Catherine Harris; aunt, Debbie Dawson; uncle, Jerry Dawson and aunt Susan; uncle, Gordon Dawson and aunt Brenda; aunt, Jenise Cox and uncle Koby; aunt Angela Shaver and uncle Damon; numerous cousins, and numerous extended family and friends. The Family will be present Monday 6-8pm at Blessing Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held Tuesday 1:30pm at First United Methodist Church of Mansfield.
