Neeley Koenig, who left this world on May 24, 2024, at the age of 60. Susan was born on March 28, 1964, and her departure has left a hole that words cannot fill.
She was proceeded in death by her father, Thomas Wayne Neeley. Susan leaves behind to forever be cherish and remembered by her mother Janice Neeley; daughter and son-in-law Kelsie and Ashley Miller; sister Tammy Rydell and husband Paul; brother and sister-in-law Keith and Julie Neeley; nieces Rachel Cook, Brittany Harbor, Breanna Richardson, Andrea Moran and Megan Driver; nephews Jacob Rydell and Forrest Neeley; grandchildren Trenton Koenig and Dylan and Stetson Miller; as well as and many great nieces and nephews.
Susan's loss will be deeply felt by all who were fortunate enough to have her in their lives. Her bright smile and warm presence brought joy to those around her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. She embraced life with an open heart and a joyful spirit. Susan was known for her nonjudgmental nature and ability to find joy in every moment. She had a unique talent for storytelling; often sharing the craziest and most entertaining parts of the experiences with her community. Her stories, filled with humor and insight, never failed to bring smiles to those around her.
Susan was her mother's baby and had a special knack for brightening any room, whether through a funny anecdote or a lighthearted spin on a serious situation. Her resilience was remarkable; she had an uncanny ability to bounce back from any illness and remain a central, uplifting presence in the lives of those around her.
Susan will be deeply missed by many. Her memory lives on through the countless tales she shared and the joy she spread. We are all incredibly fortunate to have known Susan and her absence leaves a void that will be felt by all who had the pleasure of partaking in her life. May she rest in peace, knowing that her spirit will continue to guide and watch over her loved ones as they navigate through the days ahead.
A memorial service will be held at the Church of Christ in Grandview, TX. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donation be made to hospice care in Susan's memory:
