Steven Ray Hammond

Steven Ray Hammond, 59, of Venus, Texas, passed away Tuesday, Feb 1, 2022. Steven was born in Houston, Texas on May 17, 1962. He graduated from Saltillo High School, he received a Bachelor of Science from East Texas State University, and later received a Master of Divinity from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary. Steven was married to Michelle (Tomb) Hammond on July 1, 1983, in Weaver, Texas. He had a career in Information Technology at Technical Chemical Company of Cleburne, Texas. He was a member of Heritage Baptist Church of Mansfield, and also a member of the Johnson County Amateur Radio Club, where he had a passion for Amateur Radio. He also loved spending time with his family and devoting his time to his Church. Steven is preceded in death by his father, Raymond Truett Hammond. He is survived by his wife, Michelle Ann Hammond; mother, Wand Joyce Cain; children, Stephanie Rae (Jonathan) Florentino, Andrea Gail Hammond, and Christina Marie Hammond; brother, Ronald Truett (Laynette) Hammond; sister, Cynthia Ann (Steve Kuhn) Hammond; step sister, Rhonda Jean(Jay)Sanders; and step brother, Kenneth Wayne (Denise)Cain.
