Steven Mark Coble, 63, of Elgin, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 in Austin, Texas.
Mark was born in Kingsville, Texas on May 4, 1953, the son of Harry Doyle and Ruby Faye Tye Coble of Mansfield, Texas. Mark is survived by his parents and siblings: Teresa Coble Sherwood and husband, Donald Sherwood of Mansfield; Paul Coble and his wife, Jill Parker Coble of Rendon; Kimberly Coble Looney and husband Mike Looney of Mansfield, and Timothy Coble and wife Anki Dzido Coble of Doha, Qatar. Mark is also survived by eight nieces and nephews, whom he loved deeply and by many friends including his roommate, Mike Sullivan. He was also blessed to have many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Mark grew up in Mansfield, Texas, and was a graduate of Mansfield High School in 1971. He attended Austin College in Sherman, Texas.
Mark spent a large part of his adulthood in Hawaii, which he loved. He worked there as a maintenance supervisor. While in Hawaii, he was a wonderful caregiver to his aunt Sissy Austin.
Mark later returned to Texas, residing in Elgin and working as a cab driver in Austin. The rural area of Elgin allowed Mark to enjoy his passion for animals. Mark was a caring, giving man who loved animals, especially raccoons and his favorite pet raccoon Destiny.
Mark was courageous in his brief battle with pancreatic cancer. The family wishes to thank his doctors and medical team at Seton Medical Center in Austin for their loving care.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the Seton Fund at Seton Medical Center in Austin.
