Skip Nuss

Skip Nuss, 76, of Mansfield, Texas, passed away Monday, January 14, 2019 in Ennis, Texas.

Skip was born October 13, 1942 in Danville, Pennsylvania, the son of H. M. Nuss and Lois Irene Dyer Nuss. He was married to his wife, Margie, for 56 years, had three children and six grandchildren. He was the manager of Southwest Railroad Car parts for 40 years.

He volunteered with the Lion’s Club for 30 years and served as the District 2E-2 Governor in 2005-2006. He also mentored students in Mansfield ISD through the Big Hope Program.

Survivors include his wife, Margie Nuss; daughter, Sandy Hicks and husband Bryan; grandchildren, Elaina and Sam Dodson, Logan and Tyler Nuss, Cooper and Alex Hicks; great granddaughter, Sophie Claire Gilmore; sister, Lois Anne Smith; and numerous extended family members.

Skip was preceded in death by his parents, H. M. and Lois Nuss, son Mark Nuss, daughter Lynn Dodson and sister, Connie Coup
