Shirley B. Bratcher

Shirley Bratcher of Arlington passed away on October 13, 2013 in Arlington at the age of 78. She was born on October 4, 1935 in Sylvester, TX to the late Joseph and Lucy (Putman) Boen.
Shirley retired from Lockheed Martin after 32 years of service. She loved to travel, and spending time outdoors gardening. Shirley also enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family.
Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Lucy Boen; two brothers, Kenneth Wayne Boen and Jerry Randall Boen. Those left to celebrate her life are, her husband of 60 years, John Bratcher of Arlington; two sons, Randall W. Bratcher and wife Jodi of Odessa and Tracy L. Bratcher and wife Jane of Great Falls, MT; one daughter, Denise Johnson and husband Donald of Bowie; two grandchildren, Dyann Johnson, Dayna Johnson of Bowie; one sister, Emogene Samuel and husband Floyd of Mansfield; as well as a sister-in-law Winnie Bentley and husband Bill of Burleson. Visitation will be October 15, 2013 from 6-8pm at Blessing Funeral Home in Mansfield, Funeral services will be October 16, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Blessing Funeral Home.
