Sammy Don Johnson, 78, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Dec 1, 2021 surrounded by his family. Sammy was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on March 15, 1943 to James “Pine” and Naomi Johnson.
He grew up in Rendon, Texas and graduated from Mansfield High School in 1961. Shortly after graduating, Sammy married his high school sweetheart, Linda Brown. Together, they raised two children, Keith and Christy. Sammy loved to raise brahman cattle and tinker with old trucks. Later in life, he enjoyed traveling to cuttings to watch his grandson show.
Sammy was preceded in death by his daughter, Christy and his wife of 50 years, Linda.
He is survived by his son Keith Johnson (Margaret), grandchildren and great grandchild.
