Sammy C. Carroll

KENNEDALE -- Sammy Coleman Carroll, 70, passed away Monday, March 14, 2016.
Service: 10 a.m. Friday at Blessing Funeral Home, Mansfield. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Sam was born March 16, 1945, in Groesbeck. Sam's passion for life and love for his family were evident to those who knew him.
In 1969 he met and married his soulmate, Nancy. After raising their son and daughter, the two comfortably settled into their golden years.
Teaching his children then later his grandchildren traditions about a simpler life was his joy. He made sure they knew about gardening, how to build something with their two hands and the love of a hard running V-8 Chevrolet.
Sam lived by his own rules: He lived hard, died young and left a beautiful memory.
Sammy was preceded in death by his son, Jeff.
Survivors: Wife, Nancy; daughter, Staci and husband, Todd; daughter-in-law, Ruth; grandchildren, Walt, Brittany, Weston, Mollie, Bayli and Bryli; and numerous loving family friends.
