MANSFIELD -- Sallie Jo Stone, 92, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2014.
Service: 10 a.m. Saturday at First Methodist Church, Mansfield. Burial: Mansfield Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Blessing.
Sallie Jo was born in Webb on Nov. 16, 1921, the daughter of Edward and Ruby Wolfe Womble. She worked in commercial insurance and worked for over 30 years at Mansfield State Bank. Sallie Jo was a longtime member of First Methodist Church, Mansfield, where she sang in the choir and was a very active volunteer for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Stone; brother, Ed Womble; and sister, Janette Brown.
Survivors: Brother, Royce Womble and wife, Janice; sisters, Robbie Gilstrap and Betty Mitchell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
