MANSFIELD -- Roy Edward Patterson entered the kingdom of heaven Monday, Aug. 11, 2014.
Service: 1 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church, Mansfield. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Blessing Funeral Home, Mansfield.
Roy was born July 4, 1929, in Venus, the son of Edward and Mertle Bogle Patterson. He owned and operated Roy's Barber Shop from 1956 to the present.
Roy was preceded in death by his wife, Berta Faye Patterson; a son, David Brian Patterson; two sisters; and one brother.
Survivors: Daughter, Barbara Crocker and husband, Matt; son, John Patterson and wife, Candy; grandchildren, Clint, Caleb, Ali and Hillary Crocker, Justin, Jarrod, John "Jed" Patterson and Courtney Patterson-Lackey; great-grandchildren, Gracie, Abby, Lauren, Hannah and James Crocker, Olivia, Sophia, Ethan, Nolan, Peyton, Madelyn, Mason, Gloria, Sebastian, Giuliana, and Edward Patterson and Anna Lackey; and twin sister, Coye Maberry.
