Roosevelt Pierre, Jr.

On Tuesday, May 18, 2021, Roosevelt Pierre Jr. entered eternal rest at the age of 65 at his home. He was a New Orleans native. He was born May 3, 1956 to Anna and Roosevelt Pierre Sr.

Roosevelt served in the United States Air Force. He was employed with the New Orleans Police Department then the United States Postal Service where he later retired. He was also the proud owner of Pierre’s Mardi Gras Café and was an employee with Texas Health Resources.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Melvin and Emily Pierre, Pythian and Anna Noah and his brother Gary Pierre Sr.

Roosevelt is survived by his wife, Wendy Smith-Pierre, his parents Anna and Roosevelt Sr, his brothers David, Gregory (Sabrina) and Troy. His two children Quinsey Perkins and Roshanda Perkins, his grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. He is also survived by additional relatives and friends.
