Roger McDonald, age 74, of Arlington, was received into the warm arms of Jesus Christ on July 10, 2015.
He was born on May 31, 1941 in Fort Worth to Laura and Lois C. McDonald. He lived with his wife Kathy in Arlington. Roger grew up in Fort Worth and played football for Trent High School. He worked for many years as a machinist and, most recently, as an elementary school crossing guard. Roger’s hobbies included fishing and spoiling his grandkids. Roger loved his family with all his heart and will continue watching over them from heaven.
Survivors include his Wife, Kathy; his sister Charlene Pearson of Quinlan; children, Roger Dale, Jr. and Dana McDonald of Odessa; his step-children, Jim Skipper of Arlington and Jason Skipper of Tacoma, Washington; close family friend Greg Brown of San Antonio; fourteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Roger is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers Bobby McDonald and Billy McDonald; his sisters Jewel Winters, Jimmie Nell Porter, and Vaneta McDonald; his sons Donny McDonald and Steven McDonald; and his stepson Justin Skipper.
