Curtis Rodger Ervin

MANSFIELD -- Curtis Rodger Ervin, 79, passed away Friday, Sept. 23, 2016.
Rodger was born Oct. 19, 1936 in the Webb Community. He was a 1954 graduate of Mansfield High School and attended Arlington State College. Rodger married Barbara Perry Ervin June 15, 1956. He retired from General Dynamics after 23 years and retired again from Mansfield ISD in 1999. Rodger had a lifelong love and interest in aircraft and was an avid bird watcher.
Rodger was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Etoye Ervin and daughter, Angela Kay Porter.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Barbara Ervin; daughter, Rene' Moericke and husband, Gale; grandchildren, Zachary Moericke and wife, Hannah, Brandon Brumley, Alyssa Moericke Hilts and husband Matt; great grandchildren, Liam and Brin Hilts; brother Glynn Ervin and wife Priscilla; several aunts, nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
