Robert was born on February 23, 1937 to Louise Clara and David William Proffitt in Detroit, Michigan.
Bob retired from Lockheed Martin after 33 years of dedicated service.
Robert married the love of his life on June 8th, 1957 at Garden City Presbyterian Church.
Survivors: Wife, Catherine of 60 years married; children, Robert William (Michelle), Charisse Proffitt; grandchildren, Sheena Spurlock (Kenneth), Michael Henry Taber, Kaila Wiktor, Angel Salatrik (Philip); three great-grandchildren, Milo Alexander Dupree, Spencer Robert Dupree and Fiala Salatrik; brother, David Proffitt (Carol).
Funeral services will be held in Michigan at a later date.
