Robert (Bob) Livingston March 4, 1953 - April 30, 2012
The family of Bob Livingston is sad to announce that he passed away in Mansfield, Texas at age 59. Bob was born in Eugene, Oregon to James and Elizabeth Livingston, the second of five children. In 1957 the family moved to Southern California and resided for several years in Compton, CA before moving to Buena Park CA. Bob went to Savanna High School, Class of '71, where he excelled in school and sports, making many friends along the way. While in high school he worked at Knott's Berry Farm in the Picture Gallery and later in the warehouse while going to Cypress College. Bob thought working at Knott's was great because he could pick-up girls while he worked. He later worked for Union Oil and in the steel business for a few years before finding his passion, selling printing and paper. He loved the challenge of selling. It was while he owned his own business, Forms Professionals that he met the love of his life Kathryn McEnery. They wed in 1982 and had a son, Gregory James. Eventually a job transfer for Kathy moved the family to Texas. There Bob continued to work in the printing and paper business. In 2002 Bob became a Friend of Bill. Bob would help anyone in any way he could. During his sobriety he reached out to others as a sponsor and he helped many others with their struggle. In 2007, tragically, Bob lost his beloved wife Kathy. The last five years have been difficult for Bob and Greg.
We believe he is reunited with his only love, Kathy and they will celebrate their 30th anniversary together this month.
Bob loved people, to tell jokes, to make the hard sale, a good debate and a game of golf.
Bob is survived by his son Gregory of Mansfield, TX, sisters Debby Manning of Rancho Santa Margarita CA, Jackie LaCour of Laguna Woods, CA and Joy Comeau and her husband Michael of Katy, TX. Also survived by his nephews Rob La Cour, Randy Allen, Brian and Eric Comeau, his uncle Harry Worden and his wife Myrna and their sons Ben and Adam of Roseburg, OR. From Kathy's family he leaves behind her parents John and Eleanor McEnery who Bob called Mom and Dad, Kathy's sister Sharon and her husband Tim Sullivan, her brothers Daniel and his wife Vicki McEnery all of TX and Bill and him wife Becky McEnery of CT. He will be missed by his "puppies" Tyson and Forman.
Bob's brother Randy passed away in infancy.
He died too young and his family and friends will miss him greatly.
But he is now at peace and with his beloved Kathy.
