MANSFIELD – Robert Edward Davidson, 87, a loving and devoted husband and father, passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2014.
Service: A reception to honor his life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, November 8 at Watercrest Adult Living, 250 E. Debbie Lane, Mansfield, Texas. A private memorial service will be held at a later date in Killeen, TX at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery for close friends and family.
Bob was born July 10, 1927 in Temple, Texas. He was employed by Santa Fe Railroad for 36 years. He was a World War II veteran who served in the U.S. Navy. He was a Master Mason for over 54 years. Over the last three years, Bob has enjoyed spending time with Betty. They both looked forward to Wednesday and Saturday poker games with their friends at Watercrest.

Survivors: Wife, Betty Baumgardner Davidson; children, Kyle Davidson and wife Brenda of Mansfield; sister Vergie Traylor of Peoria, AZ; step daughter, Vicki Campbell and husband Mike; step son, Rick Baumgardner and his wife Claudia; four grandchildren, Chrystie Kilger, Piper White and husband David, Robert Davidson, and Christopher Davidson; three step grandchildren, Tyler, Brice, and Marissa; five great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 56 years Betty Wilson Davidson and daughter Susan Davidson.
