Richard Gene Stotts, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather entered eternal life on October 22, 2024, in Burleson, TX. He was born on July 11, 1942, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Eulalah and Irline Stotts.

Richard served in the United States Air Force from 1962 to 1966, exemplifying dedication and commitment. He would serve an additional two years in the Air Force Reserves. After leaving the military, he found purpose in a career as a carpenter, a vocation that allowed him to work with his hands and create beautiful spaces for others. His craftsmanship reflected his passion for building and creating, whether it be homes or cherished toys or crafts for his family.

Richard’s life was enriched by the simple joys of nature. He found peace in the countryside, often sitting on the porch, scanning the horizon for deer, turkey, and the occasional fox, ever hopeful of capturing a good snapshot of the beauty around him. His love for the outdoors was evident in his enjoyment of fishing, where he sought not just the thrill of the catch, but the serenity of being in God’s beautiful world alongside those he loved.

A cornerstone of Richard's life was his profound love for his family. He proudly celebrated 57 years of marriage to his beloved wife, Wanda in March of this year. Together, they fostered a nurturing home filled with laughter and warmth.

Richard is survived by his wife Wanda, his son Ronnie and daughter-in-law Shelby, granddaughters: Kinleigh, Kyleigh, and Haiden Stotts and most recently, he embraced the joy of being a great-grandfather to Weston Stotts. In addition to his immediate family, Richard is survived by his sisters, Bobbie and Cecelia, and brother Tommy, who have shared in the journey of life with him. He also leaves behind the affectionate companionship of his pets, Missy and Jake, who were ever faithful in their devotion.

Richard was preceded in death by his mother, Eulalah; father, Irline; and sisters, Joyce and Jonell.

As we remember Richard Gene Stotts, let us celebrate the impact he had on our lives, the lessons he imparted, and the love he shared. His legacy will continue to thrive in the hearts of his family, inspiring all to cherish every moment and live with the same love and kindness he exemplified throughout his life.
