J. D. "Jim" Hardy

Rev. J. D. "Jim" Hardy, 83, of Grand Prairie, Texas, went home to be with our Lord Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Mansfield Methodist Hospital.
Rev. Hardy was born in Danville, Virginia on August 29, 1932, the son of David Z. Hardy and Nancy C. Stonewall Hardy. He married Jackie Hale inAzle, Texas on May 27, 1951. Rev. Hardy was an associate pastor of Central Baptist Church for 18 years and a longtime member during his 67 years in the ministry. He was employed at Lockheed-Martin for 57 years, retiring in 2014.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, one daughter, two brothers, one sister and five grandchildren.
Survivors include his daughters, Nancy Harkness, Iris Hardy, Jackie and William Sallee, Kim McBay of Grand Prairie; son, John and Cindy Hardy of Grand Prairie; sister, Iris and Robert Landrum of Decatur; granddaughters, Melissa, Amanda, Amber, Melinda, Angela and Christie ; three grandsons, Jeremy, Johnathan and Andy; great-grandchildren, Domarian, James, Corwin, Aaliyah and Yleah; two nephews; two nieces; and numerous friends.
