Raymond Edgar Redford

On Thursday, July 9, 2020, Raymond Edgar Redford, loving husband and father, passed away at age 84 in Mansfield, Texas.
Ray was born on August 6, 1935 in Fort Worth, Texas. Ray served 21 years in the U.S. Marine Corps achieving the rank of Captain. His service included three tours of duty in Vietnam. After his service, he worked for many years for Hughes Aircraft before retiring.
Ray had a passion for reading books, football and Jack Daniels Whiskey. He also loved talking about and remembering his career in Aviation.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Peggy Redford and his son Greg Redford. Ray is survived by his wife Kathryn Redford; sons Gary Redford, Steve Redford, Raymond Redford and his wife, Tara; daughter Cynthia Fincher and her husband, Kelsey; step-sons Brad Snow and his wife, Sally, Scott Snow and his wife, Luanne. Ray had nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Service for Captain Redford will be Friday, July 17, at 12:00 noon. There will be a brief family visitation at 11:00 a.m. Masks and social distancing required. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the USMC Toys for Tots in Captain Redford’s name.
