MANSFIELD -- Ray Thomas, 98 passed away Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2016, at his home where he had resided since his birth in Mansfield.
Graveside service: 11 a.m. Saturday in Mansfield Cemetery, officiated by grandson William Bret Thomas.
Ray was born June 29, 1917, in Mansfield. He married Edna Merle Ward Thomas in 1935.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Merle; daughter, Dorothy Ray Thomas Martin; and sons, Harold Neal Thomas and Henry Ward Thomas.
Survivors: His son, William Carrell Thomas and wife, Billie; daughter, Alice Faye Kuykendall; sister, Mary Virginia Linn; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
