Philip R. Smith

Philip R. Smith 69 of Everman Texas passed away peacefully on Friday, May 5, 2017 after a lengthy illness. He was born on August 10, 1947 in Dallas Texas to Agnes Elizabeth Hardin Smith and Jack Ryder Smith. Philip was a long time employee of Lockeed Martin where he worked in Maintenance. Philip served the community of Everman as a volunteer on the Everman Fire Department and Everman Ambulance Squad for many years. He also worked as a substitute school bus driver as well as one of the band bus drivers for Everman ISD. Philip was a wonderful man who loved God and his family. He is preceded in death by his wife Aleen and his parents. Philip is survived by his children Michelle Smith and husband Tommy Taylor of Austin, John Smith of Everman, Jennifer Smith of Ft. Worth and Rebecca Henry and husband Buran of Stephenville.
Services will be held 10 a.m., Friday at Blessing Funeral Home, Mansfield. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday at Blessing Funeral Home.
