Perry Eugenia Hightower, 85, of Mansfield, Texas passed away September 11, 2021.
Eugenia was born May 31, 1936 at her parents’ home in Stanton, Texas. In high school she worked at the local newspaper where she worked with her soon-to-be husband, Donald Hightower. In 1968, the couple moved to Mansfield from Midland. Soon after moving to Mansfield, Don and Eugenia started Mansfield Vending Company. Eugenia has been a member of The First Baptist Church in Mansfield since the move in 1968. She taught third grade girls Sunday School for many years and was active in the Senior Women’s Sunday School Class, Philathea, for many years. Eugenia would take some of the older ladies in the class to their doctor’s appointments, take food to those who had a need and instantly befriended new members of the class. Eugenia loved God and loved her family well. She lived her whole life walking with God and now has place with Him in Heaven.
Her parents, Roy Perry Martin and Mollie Clarice Martin, as well as her husband of 62 years, Donald Ray Hightower, precede Eugenia in death.
Survivors include son, Leslie Hightower; daughter, Nancy Barton, husband Tim; grandson, Justin Fry; granddaughter, Erica Bybee, husband Jason; great-grandchildren, Brynlee and Aiden Bybee; many nieces and nephews.
