Patsy Hannah Lamberson-Greenwood passed away Sunday, January 26, 2020 at the Emery J. Lilge Hospice House in Fort Worth. She was 86.
Patsy was born to James Wiley and Edna (Oakley) Lamberson on June 1, 1933 in Nogales, Arizona. Early in Patsy’s life, her parents moved their family to Texas, settling in the Bonham, Texas area, or Fannin County. One day, as if by fate, a cowboy by the name of Asa Greenwood, on his horse, rode up to the Lamberson’s residence actually looking for a friend’s house. When Asa knocked on the door, Patsy answered. From that moment, a courtship evolved into a marriage on August 18, 1951 that spanned fifty eight years and produced four children. Life’s journey for Asa and Patsy took them from Fannin County to Grand Prairie then to Mansfield where they settled.
Patsy was a homemaker that cared for her children and tended to her home. She loved art, especially in the form of paintings and ceramics but also loved gardening and was an avid seamstress.
Patsy is preceded in death by her parents, husband Asa Boyd, son Thomas Ray, daughter Shirley Lynn, great granddaughter Shelley Lott
Four sisters: Opal Oden, Frances Kowalski, Betty Shockley, and Sharon Kuhn, four brothers: Hugh, Shorty, J.T. and Lloyd (Pete) Lamberson.
Patsy is survived by her sons William (wife Kathy) and Cecil (wife Rhonda) Greenwood, fourteen grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was loved by all.
