Patricia Albright

Patricia Ann Askins Albright, 72, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, November 28th, 2021 in Arlington, Texas. She was born December 6th, 1948 in Tulare, California to Geraldine and Grace Lea Askins.

Pat grew up in Dallas, Texas and graduated from W.W. Samuell High School in 1967. She went on to earn a bachelor’s degree and teaching certificate from East Texas State University in 1971.

Pat married her husband Robert in 1975 in Irving, Texas. They were happily married for 41 years until his passing in 2016.
Pat enjoyed watching her children play softball and baseball. She enjoyed crafts, specifically quilting. She made quilts for all of her nieces and nephews which they received for their high school graduation. Pat loved family activities such as reunions, the State Fair of Texas, cruises, and playing the nickel slots at Winstar casino. She took exceptional pride in the fact that she raised her children right. Most recently she loved taking on the role of Mimaw with her grandsons RJ and Jonathan.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband Robert and parents Geraldine and Grace Askins.

Pat is survived by her brother Gerald Askins of Mesquite, Texas; her sister Julia Johnstone of Dallas, Texas; her daughter Karen (Joe) Rongish of Wichita, Kansas; her son James (Mandy) Albright of Arlington, Texas; and grandsons Robert James and Jonathan Albright.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the Ronald McDonald House.
