Oscar Juan Buttner, 84, went home to his Lord on May 28, 2017 surrounded by his family.
Oscar was born June 24, 1932 to Oscar Robles Buttner and Balbina Cabrera in Douglas, Arizona.
Oscar Buttner was a character beyond measure. His quick wit and dry humor was a catalyst to what all knew him as. He loved telling stories, jokes and reminiscing about time spent with family. A patriarch of his family, he proved that greatness comes from a strong work ethic, dedication, a passionate love for those near and dear to him and accepting the inevitable pitfalls of life with kindness, compassion and grace. A strong community leader and learned intellectual, he created a life for his family, educating himself for the benefit of those that he held close. Oscar, adored by all, was a wonderful husband, brother, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. His presence has always been a blessing and his absence, will leave the lives of those he touched, forever grateful for having him.
Oscar is preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include Oscar’s Wife Mary; Son Oscar Buttner, Jr.; Daughters Therese Daiy and Arlene Hubbell; Grandchildren Jeff Wilson, Jemma Garcia, Katherine Daiy, Matthew Daiy, Mary Daiy and Darrien Buttner; Great Grandchildren Harper Wilson, Ryder Wilson and Carson Garcia; Brothers Manuel Buttner and Sam Buttner and Sister Dorothy Alvarez.
To all that knew and loved Oscar Buttner, his legacy will be the love he had for his family, dedication to his work and loyalty to his Heavenly Father.
The family wishes to invite family and friends for fellowship to Paul and Arlene Hubbell's home following interment.
