Orvis Kay Burr

Orvis Kay Burr, 76, passed away September 28, 2016.
Kay was a 1960 graduate of Crane High School and received his Bachelors and Masters degrees from Sul Ross State University. He was a member of the Lakeside Church of Christ and will be remembered for his love of classic westerns, the Dallas Cowboys, the Texas Rangers, fishing and exchanging tall tales with his high school and college buddies.
Kay was preceded in death by his first wife, Jane Urban Burr, as well as his parents, Lawson Burr and Merle Ellis Burr.
He is survived by his wife Sue Turner Parker Burr; daughters Letty Burr of Colorado Springs, CO and Julie Burr of Abilene, TX; a brother, Jim Burr and his wife, Lavita of Midland; two nieces and one great nephew. Other survivors include two stepsons Chris Parker of Brenham and Kyle Parker of Midland; three step grandsons and one step great grandson.
