Norman Richard Baranowski, 72, went to the Lord on Thursday, August 24th 2017, due to complications with pneumonia after a battle with cancer, which he was recently in remission from.
Norm grew up in Baltimore, MD and was the oldest of four children, and only son of Norbert and Anna Baranowski. He worked for the Social Security Administration and retired with the Baltimore Governor’s Award & Commendation for 39 years of service. In retirement he moved to Mansfield, TX to live with and be cared for by his sister Stephanie. He loved his retirement and status of a Senior Citizen, and made sure his discount was applied whenever appropriate. Norm was a Baltimore Orioles and Ravens fan, but cheered for the Rangers when they played the Yankees, and after his move down south. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed being part of his league, which years ago his nephew Ron was also apart of. Norm was an attendant of St Jude Catholic Church and part of St John Lutheran, most notably known for his service stopping fall, in the middle of Christmas Eve Service 2003.
Norm loved his family and providing coupons and gifts to all those he cared for.
He is survived by his sister Stephanie, nephews Ron and Steve, and siblings Michelle and Bernadette. And his puppy Winston.
A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at 1:30pm service at DFW National Cemetery.
Reception to follow at Watercrest Mansfield - 250 E Debbie Lane Mansfield, TX 76063
