Nathan Michael Johnson, 21 of Arlington, went to be with the Lord on September 27, 2022. Nathan was born to Whitney Claire Jackson and Brett Michael Johnson on April 8, 2001 in Arlington. He spent his formidable years growing up with his dad and his paternal grandparents. After High School, Nathan enlisted in the Honorable United States Airforce on November 4, 2019. He was an Airman First Class mechanic on Cannon Air Force Base in Clovis, New Mexico.
Nathan married his childhood sweetheart, Kaitlyn “Katie” Johnson on September 4, 2020. The two had shared a friendship since they were 13 years old. Together they moved to Clovis and shared many morning coffee dates at Blackwater Coffee Co. and enjoyed listening to punk rock music.
Nathan was sarcastic and had a good sense of humor; he always made light of every situation. He frequently tried to “shock” his grandmother with his silliness. Nathan had an entrepreneurial spirit and while in High School turned his love of shoes into an online business. This quickly grew into flipping other items for profit as well. Nathan was very particular about his hair and his shoes. He was very social and a loyal friend. He loved his friends and he loved his job with the Airforce. Nathan also enjoyed working on cars and riding motorcycles; pastimes he shared with his dad.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Kaitlyn Johnson of Mansfield; father, Brett Johnson and wife, Erica Cooley of Krum; sister, Camryn Johnson of Arlington; brothers, Jacob Johnson of Arlington, and Logan Johnson of Krum; step-sister, Madison Cooley of Krum; step-brothers, Ethan Cooley of Krum, and Evan Cooley of Krum; niece, Marley Kate Sandoval of Arlington; grandparents, Tommy and Jeannie Johnson of Arlington; Aunt, JoLynne Johnson Braddy and husband, Lonnie of Grandview; Uncle, Brad Johnson and wife, Teri of Midlothian; cousins, Colby Tarver and wife Haley, Nick Braddy and wife, Loren, Erika Brooks and husband, Nathan, Ryan Johnson, Collin Garci and wife, Courtney, and Courtney Garcia and husband, Zack; dear friend, Henry Goveia; mother, Whitney Jackson and numerous extended family members, friends, and brother and sisters in service.
Nathan’s life on this earth was far too short but his memory will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
