Nancy Lee Spencer (Jones), 73, of Burleson, TX, peacefully claimed victory and transitioned from her earthly bonds on August 6, 2020, due to complications from COVID-19.
She was a wife, mother, grandmother, and a friend to many. She was born July 16, 1947, in Arlington, TX, the daughter of Thomas and Billie Jones (Alexander). She lived most of her years in Arlington and graduated from Arlington High School, “Kick’em Colts” in 1965. She married an Air Force Veteran and Arlington Police Officer, Perran Dennis Spencer on August 25, 1967 and they made their home in Arlington. They had two sons, Dennis Lee and William Russell, both would end up honorably serving and retiring from the United States Air Force. Nancy enjoyed family and friends and loved her five grandchildren more than anything. Through her years she worked as a Front Desk Assistant at the Arlington Police Department, Commissioned Security Officer at Sanger Harris, Secretary at LTV, CRC Wireline, G & G Steel and retired as an Insurance Administrator from National Health Insurance. She was a volunteer and would not hesitate to help when needed.
She will be missed dearly, and as you read this the world is a little darker and heaven a little brighter.
She leaves behind her Husband Perran, Sons Dennis and Russell, Daughter-in-Law Stephanie, Grandchildren Connor, Evan, Abigail “Abbie”, Austin and Ethan, Brother-in-Law Nathan Young, and his Wife Kathy, Cousins Dianne, Marty, Todd, Lisa and Scott and extended family and friends throughout the nation.
A brief interment memorial will be held Monday, August 17, at 10:00 a.m. at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211. (***please arrive 15 minutes early, 9:45 a.m., pull into lane 3, face mask required***)
