MANSFIELD -- Nanci Lee Keneipp, 78, died Thursday, Aug. 14, 2014, at a hospital in Mansfield after a courageous 16-year battle with cancer.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family would like any donations to be made to the North Texas Humane Society, any animal shelter, or the YMCA of Arlington.
Nanci was a very private person, but as matriarch of the family, was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She guided every aspect of family life. She loved her family immensely, particularly doting on her grandchildren. She was vivacious, funny, loving, passionate and spiritual. She loved to shop (with coupons), travel, and game a little along the way (penny slots). She loved her cats, especially her beloved Jackpot, who passed away two years ago.
Nanci was born in Berwick, Pa., Aug. 12, 1936, but as she would say, "I got to Texas as quick as I could." Moving to Fort Worth in 1956, where she met her husband, Ron Keneipp, at TCU. They were married 57 years in May and have lived in Mansfield since 1975.
Her parents, Albert and Dorothy Algatt, and brother, Richard, preceded her in death.
Survivors: Her husband, Ronald J. Keneipp of Mansfield; son, R.J. Keneipp II and wife, Vicki, of Crowley; son, Murray L. Keneipp and wife, Dana, of Midlothian; daughter, Dottie L. Altman and husband, Mike, of Clayton, Ga.; grandchildren, Rebecca Yauger, husband, Jimmy; great-grandsons, Wyatt of Rendon, Albert Keneipp of Crowley, Zachary Kitchen of Corpus Christi and Emilee Altman of Clayton, Ga., Christine and Corey Bullard; great-grandson, Conner of Arlington, Rachael and Rick Armistead of Fort Worth; brother, Thomas Algatt and wife, Anita, of Pennsylvania; nephews and nieces, Jamie, Scott, Laurie, Leigh, Steve, their children and grandchildren; and other extended family, particularly, Melissa Levesque of Arlington.
