Monica was born in Memphis, Texas on November 1, 1979, the daughter of Santos Sanchez Hernandez and Felicitas Esquivel Hernandez. She was a manager for Wingstop.
She is survived by her mother, Felicitas Hernandez; son, Gerardo Hernandez Canales; daughter, Monica I. Canales; three brothers, Miguel Cardenas, Richard Hernandez and Willie Hernandez; and one sister, Karena Esquivel.
