Miriam Jean Starook

Mrs. Miriam Jean (Swope) Starook, born on February 4, 1933 in Northumberland, Pennsylvania, passed away at age 85 on August 8, 2018 in Burleson, Texas. Miriam attended Northumberland High School. She enjoyed painting, collecting angels and baby dolls, all things Native American and her favorite color was purple. Miriam was the loving wife of Dale Kenneth Starook, Sr.. They were married for almost 67 years. Miriam was preceded in death by their sons, Dale Kenneth Starook, Jr., Phillip Ashley Starook, Gregg Allen Starook, and Douglas Steven Starook; and grandchildren, Tracy Lynne Starook and Douglas Steven Starook, Jr. Miriam is survived by their daughters, Ellen Denise Bare and Margaret Starook O’neal; grandchildren, Jonathan Douglas Bare, Julie Diane Paskey, Meghan Leigh Windsor, Tryn Daly O’neal, Ashley Noelle Sylvester, and Amber Nichole Starook; and 12 great-grandchildren. Miriam was a member of First Baptist Church of Mansfield.
