Michael “Mike” Edwin Littlefield, 71, died peacefully in Mansfield, Texas on September 15, 2015 surrounded by his family. He was born in Ralls, Texas on May 12, 1944 to L.E. “Beans” and Mildred “Maxine” (Stricklin) Littlefield. He married Clemma Kathleen Littlefield on March 19, 1980 in Mansfield, Texas. Mike, affectionately called Grumpy, was a devout family man who spent much of his free time watching old westerns, reading, and playing golf. He loved his family dearly and everything he did was for his family. He owned and operated the Littlefield Company selling dairy equipment and making lifelong friends. Mike was an alumni of Texas Tech University and an avid fan who bled red and black. Even towards the end he would faithfully give you a “Guns Up.” We know he is in a better place finally reunited with his teacup poodle Lexie. Grumpy had an infectious laugh that always made you smile. He never met a stranger and had a heart as big as Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife. A daughter, Brittany “Woods” Giese and husband, Jimmy of Burleson, Texas, a daughter, Macy “Littlefield” Cavazos and husband, Mateo of Ralls, Texas, a son, Shawn Littlefield and wife Angie of Lubbock, Texas, and a daughter, Cristi “Littlefield” Wren and husband Chris of Mansfield, Texas. Grumpy leaves behind 9 grandchildren, Taylor Giese, Hannah Cavazos, Grace Cavazos, Madison Giese, Parker Littlefield, Presley Littlefield, Caleb Cavazos, Ellison Wren and Evan Wren. He is also survived by two sisters: Lyn Ogle and husband Jodie of Brownfield, Texas and Peggy Huggins and husband Ben of Keller, Texas.
