Michelle Ann (Tomb) Hammond, 58, of Venus, Texas, passed away Monday, March 6, 2023. Michelle was born in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania on April 22, 1964 to Grant Tomb and Joyce English. She graduated from Saltillo High School in Saltillo, Texas in 1983.
Michelle was married to Steven Hammond on July 1, 1983, in Weaver, Texas. She was a lifelong homemaker, and occasionally worked in childcare. Her dream was always to be a wife and mother, a role that she fulfilled with her whole being. Michelle was a member of Heritage Baptist Church of Mansfield, Texas. She loved spending time with her family and sitting under the preaching of God’s Word. Aside from these, her greatest passions were genealogy and power tools. Like her father before her, she could recite the family tree back generations and delighted in regaling others with tales of family history. She always used her abundant creativity and talents for the benefit of her family and friends.
Michelle is preceded in death by her husband, Steven; as well as her father Grant, mother Joyce and step-brother Jerry English.
She is survived by her children, Stephanie Rae (Jonathan) Florentino, Andrea Gail Hammond, and Christina Marie Hammond; sisters, Rochelle Whitley, Crystal (Scott) Dudley, Phyllis Dickerson, Denise Tomb; half-brothers, Grant (Shelley) Tomb, Scott (Julie English) Tomb, Eric Tomb, Bradley English; step-siblings, Michael (Jill) English, Roger (Nicole Gallihugh-English) English, Linda Ebel, Tammy Tomb and Penny Benbenek; and stepmother, Kathy Tomb.
