Michael Terry Lowrance

Michael Terry Lowrance passed away on March 29, 2025 in Midlothian, TX at 72 years and 8 months of age. Mike was born July 26, 1952 in Levelland, Texas to C.R. Lowrance and Wilma Lowrance. When Mike was two years old the family moved to Brownfield, TX. Mike went to school in Brownfield and graduated from Brownfield High School in 1970. He then went to South Plains College in Levelland, TX. In 1971 Mike joined the U.S. Army and proudly served in Germany from 1971 to 1974. After he was released from the Army, he moved back to Lubbock, TX where he met Linda Messall and they got married on October 26, 1974.

In 1976, Mike went to work for Halliburton Energy in Andrews, TX. Mike loved working for the oil industry. He retired from Halliburton after a 40-year career and worked for a couple more companies before fully retiring in 2020. In 2021, Mike and Linda moved to Mansfield, TX to be near their son and his family.

Preceding Mike in passing were his parents C.R. Lowrance and Wilma Lowrance, his in-laws, Gordon and Anna Messall, and infant daughter, Lisa Ann Lowrance.

Mike is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda Lowrance, and his son, Chad Robert Lowrance and wife, Tammy of Midlothian, TX; three grandchildren: Brendon Lowrance and wife, Kyleigh Lowrance of Abilene, TX, Carson Lowrance of Arlington, TX, and McKinley Lowrance of Midlothian, TX. Mike also leaves to cherish his memory four cousins, beloved nieces and nephews, brother Charles Lowrance of Houston, TX, but most importantly Mike leaves so many wonderful friends he worked with at Halliburton and in the oil industry throughout his whole career.
