Michael Wayne Kratzer, 70, passed away January 19, 2020 in Arlington. Michael was born to Lee Roy and Helen (Rachel) Kratzer on December 5, 1949 in Jennings, Louisiana. Michael attended Broadmoor High School in Baton Rouge then attended Louisiana Tech University. He served his country by entering the United States Air Force, serving from 1969 to 1973, during the Vietnam War. After being honorably discharged from the US Air Force, he attended Louisiana State University.
While living in Virginia, Michael worked for seven years at NASA, working as a member of the procurement team for components of the International Space Station. After moving to Dallas to be closer to family, he worked as a technical support representative for AT&T, where he retired in 2016.
Michael served his Heavenly Father by attending his parish, St. Vincent de Paul, in Arlington, Tx. While living in Baton Rouge, he served the parish of St Louis King of France as a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Watching LSU Tigers and New Orleans Saints football was a must for him. Mike enjoyed traveling especially to the Caribbean, playing golf and watching old western movies.
Michael is preceded in death by his father, Lee Roy Kratzer.
Michael is survived by his longtime companion Diane Marquez, mother, Helen Kratzer, brother, Thomas Kratzer (wife Connie) sons Kevin Kratzer (wife Tiffany) and Casey Kratzer; daughter Christine Kratzer Hartman; grandson Taylor Hartman and granddaughters Kayla and Rachel Kratzer.
