Mercedes Longoria

Mercedes Longoria, 95, a long-time resident of Mansfield passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016, at Homestead Nursing Home.

Funeral services were held Monday, March 21, 2016, at Blessing Funeral Home Chapel in Mansfield. Internment followed at Calvary Cemetery in Mansfield. Mercedes was born November 18, 1920, in San Pedro Ranch to the Julian Juarez and Simona Torres.

She enjoyed working on her flower beds, cooking, taking care of grandkids, playing the harmonica, dancing and her favorite thing was making tamales. In 2011, she moved to Abbott to live with her daughter. Mercedes was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, three sisters and five brothers. She is survived by two daughters, Eva Mancinas, Jane Rizo and husband, John; one son, Joe Longoria and wife, Adriane; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; six half-brothers and half-sisters; nieces; neph-ews; and a host of relatives.
