ARLINGTON -- Mary Rebecca Thomas Skinner departed this life Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016, for her eternal home with her Savior Jesus. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends, but the angels in heaven are rejoicing at her arrival.
Service: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mansfield Church of Christ, Mansfield. Interment: Mansfield Cemetery. Visitation: 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday before service at the church.
Her family that preceded her are celebrating her reunion. Mary spent her last earthly days in Weatherford, surrounded by her family.
Mary was born Oct. 29, 1927, to Maude Irene Henderson Thomas and Samuel Bascom Thomas in Arlington. She spent her youth at Johnson Station and Arlington schools before marrying the love of her life, Morris Lee Skinner, on June 23, 1945, in Tarrant County.
The family thanks all for their prayers, care, concerns and love displayed to our family during this time.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Richard Thomas; and her beloved son-in-law, James Henderson Jr.
Survivors: Husband of 70 years, Morris Skinner; sister, Margaret Sue Kelly and husband, Gerald of Alba, daughters, Linda Sue Henderson of Poolville and Becky Ann Smith and husband, Clyde, of Emory; granddaughters, Tamera Leanne Smith Kent, Sheryl Lynn Henderson Glasser, Debra Ranee Smith Hester, Brenda Gayle Henderson Baas; great-grandchildren, Christopher Smith, Megan Spry, Brandon Spry, Mason Baas, Garrett Baas, Samuel Kent, Ella Hester, David Hester, Isabel Hester, Philip Hester; great-great-grandchildren, Matthew Smith, Julie Smith, Corbin Smith and Colton Smith.
