She grew up in Mansfield, Texas where she met and married the love of her life Hugh “Gene” Hogan on November 4, 1950. Mary enjoyed gardening, canning, music, sewing, dancing, traveling, but most important to her was her children and the large family that came from union of their marriage. Throughout her life Mary Lee was a beautiful and caring person who was loved by everyone for her kind hearted disposition. She was a strong and amazing woman who never back down from a challenge and the strength of her faith in Christ was the underlying reason why. Her most joyful times were spent in the presence of her family as we laughed and took our many trips down memory lane. Mary graduated from Mansfield High School in 1948. After graduation she worked for Montgomery Ward’s business office and then became a homemaker for many years. In 1972 she went to work for the Mansfield I.S.D. and worked as a cafeteria manager until her retirement in 1992. Mary also sold Avon from 1970 until 2006 and enjoyed her time with her many customers. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Mansfield and a member of the Mansfield Chapter of O.E.S. Mary is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Hugh “Gene” Hogan; her parents, Ingram and Anna Pearl Rogers; two brothers, Thomas Rogers, Ralph Rogers; a sister, Betty Cleveland. Those left to celebrate her life are her 4 children: Linda Sue Hogan-Andrews and husband David, Floyd Gene Hogan, John Alan Hogan and wife Shalee, Patricia Ann’e Hogan; 13 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 2 little ones on the way; her beloved nieces and nephews along with numerous friends and extended family.
