Marissa Morgan Brown, 16, of Mansfield, passed away on February 8, 2021 in Mansfield.
Marissa was born in Elk Grove Village, Illinois to Daniel and Cheryl Brown on March 28, 2004. She went to school at Mansfield High School where she was a junior. She was a G/T student and a member of the NSHSS. Marissa spent her childhood engaged in every sport imaginable. She was a stellar gymnast at Aerials for eight years and won multiple awards and individual state championships during her time there. She dabbled in volleyball, cross country, track, choir and drama club, among many other things, but, gymnastics was her passion. She was a hard worker. She has worked at Rusty's Taco as a line cook for the last 8 months and, previous to that, worked as a gymnastics instructor at Aerials. She was interested in veterinary medicine, arts & crafts, painting and gymnastics.
Marissa and Logan, her older brother, were very close and only 2 years apart in age. The family has vacationed all over the world and have thousands of pictures together.
Marissa is survived by her parents, older brother Logan, grandparents Larry and Pat Brown as well as Linda Kennedy, her cousins Kyle Young, Jeremy Morgan, Hannah Morgan, Alex Morgan, Alex Chiples, Christopher Walsh, Stephanie Walsh and Andrew Walsh; aunts and uncles; Natalie Morgan, Pat Young, Brad Morgan, Sue Morgan, Audra Walsh and George Chiples as well as her best friend from childhood, Emma Larson.
