Mae Dee Martin

Mae Dee Martin, 98, departed for her heavenly home on Monday May 3, 2021. Born April 17, 1923, the seventh child of ten born to Della and Howard Selman. She was born again in September 1940, and joined Retta Baptist Church where she was a faithful member for 80 years. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Herbert Roy Martin. Her oldest son, Ralph, sacrificed his life in service to his country in 1970 at the age of 22 during the Vietnam war. Her son, Douglas Ray, as well as two brothers, and seven sisters also preceded her in death. Survivors include her two children, Joan Cooper (Earl), and Dwight Martin (Cheryl); five grandchildren, Scott Constantine (Tammorrow), Julie Cooper, Lisa Cooper (Brandon), Scott Cooper, Zoe Grace Martin, and Mika Dee Martin; three great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren.
Memorial Service: 2 pm Sunday May 16, 2021 at Retta Baptist Church. In Lieu of flower donations may be made to Retta Baptist Church building fund.
